"A mask behind a mask,
a silence beneath the voice,
a shadow within the light.
Light meets edge, edge meets shadow,
Shadow meets memory —
and the self emerges in fragments of reflection.
The exhibition traces these points of light,
where identity refracts and multiplies,
where every angle reveals something new,
a reminder that what we show
is never all that we are."
The exhibition unfolds as a journey through the many layers of self— Palette, fragments and reflection of Self —across three immersive floors.
Ground Floor – ‘Palette of Self’
Step into the heart of the exhibition, where each original painting reveals the raw palette of being—layers of texture, light, and gesture that speak to memory, emotion, and the hidden stories beneath the surface.
Here, identity begins in color and form and invites you to linger, observe, and see the self through Umoudit’s nuanced vision.
First floor – ‘Fragments of Self’
Here, patterns and motifs extend beyond the canvas. Prints and hand-painted objects transform the visual language of the exhibition into tactile, intimate experiences. Touch, hold, and carry pieces of the work with you, discovering new fragments of self in each piece.
Top Floor – ‘Reflections of Self’
The journey culminates in image, sound, and archive. Reflection of Self captures identity in motion - Photographs, videos, and media capture moments of process and memory, refracting the artist’s path while inviting you to glimpse your own. Here, the self is mirrored back—shifting, layered, and alive in time.
